How is this course different?

Let’s cut to it: leading people is hard. Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because people are complex, expectations are high, and the pace of change never lets up.

That’s why The Truth of Leading Others isn’t your average leadership training—it’s a reset. A sharp, smart, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of experience that gets to the heart of what leadership really takes today.

We don’t do fluff. We don’t teach you how to be “the boss.” We teach you how to lead in a way that people actually want to follow. Through real talk, real examples, and a little well-placed humor, we help leaders shift their mindset, build trust, and learn how to show up differently—on purpose.

"I loved this class. I really needed the learning on asking empowering questions. I think this training is very well done and should be mandatory for first-level leaders. I can't wait to work with you again!"

~ Josh, Class Participant

"Both Jackie and Courtney were very knowledgeable and helped filter out the noise of leading and keeping to simple fundamentals. They also offered many experiments to give an actionable exercise to help practice the fundamentals in our own unique environment."

~ Clint, Class Participant

"Jackie is a wonderful facilitator - her presentation style, use of real-world examples that paint memorable take-aways, and ability to incorporate live questions and feedback into the training in real-time is fabulous."

~ Gladys, Class Participant

"Thank you Jackie for a very informative class, you are a fantastic coach! I thought the ideas/techniques were uniquely described and the writing exercises were thought provoking. I was able to create some space for myself to invest in my leadership legacy and I am grateful for the opportunity!"

~ James, Class Participant

"The tools learned in this class will be paramount in helping us to continue build our already outstanding culture. (That's why I'm still here!)"

~ Scott, Class Participant

What should I expect in the course?

Each session explores a critical area of leadership growth:

  • Stepping Back helps leaders release the urge to control and instead create the conditions where others can thrive.
  • Quality Conversations unlocks the behaviors that lead to deeper dialogue, clarity, and innovation—whether in moments of accountability or collaboration.
  • Coaching Performance equips leaders with the powerful mindsets and practical tools of professional coaching, adapted for the fast-paced demands of organizational life.

After each session, leaders are challenged to conduct two practical “experiments” back on the job, using the concepts and skills they’ve just learned. To deepen accountability and insight, participants share their results with the facilitator, who provides thoughtful, individualized feedback — ensuring each leader walks away with clarity, confidence, and momentum.
